VBS 2026

What a great week we had at Rainforest Falls VBS!! We served almost 50 kids over 4 nights. M&I served amazing meals each night to our VBS kids and their families. Each meal had a special themed dessert—and on Monday night we had a 16-foot sandwich snake! A huge thank you to M&I for all their work with VBS this year. The meals are such a blessing to the families and the volunteers!

Many of the kids who attended VBS this week do not typically attend church at FPC. They were friends, neighbors, grandchildren, Wednesday Club kids, and members of the community. Please continue to pray for the students! We are praying they remember what we learned: that God created everything, God knows everything, God is our safe place, and God loves us. On Thursday night, we spent extra time learning about Jesus. The kids (and many of their parents) heard the gospel story. Pray that the story of the gospel takes root in many hearts and that we can find ways to welcome some of those families into our congregation!

VBS would not be possible without the help of so many gifted volunteers.  The congregation donated time, supplies, financial gifts, and talents. We’re so thankful for each one of you who participated through your donations and your prayers. We had many volunteers helping set-up on Sunday afternoon, and I was so thankful for all their help and their GREAT ideas. Our teachers and group leaders showed up each night with excitement to help our kids learn, and we have really talented teachers in our congregation! Our youth stepped in to help lead groups, assist in the science station, and with crafts. The week ran so smoothly because our volunteers were capable, willing, and flexible. THANK YOU!

I give thanks to God for the hearts of service in our congregation. Praise God for the ways He is at work among us!
