About Our ministry team

The staff at First Presbyterian strive to follow Jesus in all we do. We are here to help God's people grow in their relationship with God and reach out to share His love with the world. It is our desire to get to know you, to walk with you, and share the experience of the Christian life with you.

Please feel free to contact any of us with any questions, concerns, or prayer needs you have.  Our emails are listed below or you can call the church office Monday-Friday from 9am to 3pm.

We Are Hiring!

We are currently looking for an Associate Pastor. The Associate Pastor will join us and help lead us as we pursue deeper relationships with God and with the people God brings into our lives. The Associate and the Lead Pastor will work closely together, dividing responsibilities in many areas of the church. The Associate Pastor will have an emphasis on youth and children’s programs, but both pastors will be involved in teaching and pastoring all generations. If you are interested, you can download the job description. Then if you want to apply, send your cover letter and resume to Church@fpcmarshalltown.org.

I love that as a pastor I can help people understand the Bible and apply it to their lives so they can follow God's amazing purpose for them. My wife, Larissa, and I have three great kids who keep us busy. I also enjoy woodworking, hiking, hunting, and being outside with my family.

Pastor Bryan Kunz

I enjoy being able to help people and am blessed with the opportunity to share the good news of God's love with children in our outreach ministry. Outside of church, I enjoy time with my family, photography, going for walks, and travel.

Michelle Wilkinson

I am excited to be back in the church I grew up in for a short time. The Lord has called me to ministry and placed the most vulnerable on my heart. I have a passion for helping people find healing from all the trials of this life through relationship with Jesus and am looking to pursue a master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in trauma starting next fall. While I am looking forward to continuing my education, I am so thankful that God has gifted me this season to serve at First Presbyterian.
