Prayer requests from ChildVoice

We received a letter from Nathan Mandsager, CEO of ChildVoice, asking for prayers and sharing some of the things they are praising God for at this time. We support ChildVoice and its mission to restore the voices of children silenced by war. Read on and join us in praying for this important ministry.

One of the things that amazes me about God’s invitation to us as believers is that He invites us to bring our requests, our praises, and even our doubts directly to Him. And not only can we bring these things to Him individually, but also collectively.
We are so grateful that you would choose to stand with us in prayer, bringing all of our requests and thanksgiving before His throne of grace.
Please pray with us this week:
• Pray for the Ebola outbreak that is affecting hundreds of people in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. Pray for the ChildVoice staff members as they continue to monitor the situation and assess potential changes to program operations. We are thankful that no staff or ChildVoice beneficiaries have been directly affected and only minimal changes have had to be made to our program operations to date. Pray for doctors and healthcare providers, that they would have wisdom in treating all who have been affected.
• Pray for our agriculture programs in Labondo and Dauchi (in Nigeria) as a new planting season has begun. Pray for success during this season as hundreds of beneficiaries are trained in agricultural practices, and that they will enjoy a fruitful harvest later in the year.
• Pray for Mary from South Sudan who lives in the Imvepi Refugee Settlement. At 17 years old, she is the sole caretaker for her five younger siblings. Pray for her as she utilizes the new support from ChildVoice to stabilize her family, and pray that they would all grow in their education, skills, and resilience. And pray for the 60+ children that ChildVoice is now supporting in these child-headed families.
• Pray for the ChildVoice partners in Ukraine who continue to live under ongoing attacks from Russia. Pray for safety as they serve children whose lives have been devastated by war over the past four years. Pray for an end to this conflict and peace to be restored to that region.
• Pray for the millions of kids impacted by new conflicts unfolding. In addition to over 500 million children living in conflict zones globally, the United Nations High Commission on Refugees estimates over 50,000,000 children are forcibly displaced by war and conflict. We know these numbers will be much higher due to the new conflicts around the world.
Here are a few things we are praising God for this week—God truly has been faithful!
• God’s faithfulness and comfort for our Nigeria team as they have navigated the grief of two former beneficiaries recently passing away.
• God’s provision for ChildVoice as we prepare to close out another fiscal year at the end of June.
• New partnerships taking shape that will help us serve even more children and empower the ChildVoice mission into the future.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer.
