We have an update from Community Ministries in Guatemala. They have new desks at the school! More accurately, they have new desk surfaces on the existing frames. They look great and will last a long time. Three of us who went to LaBendición in 2023 enjoyed watching the short video and seeing the smiles on so many of the children we were blessed to get to know then.
Anibal and Elizabeth Mazariegos's update is below. If you'd like to see the short video about the desks and the children using them, click here. (You will need to set up a free account to watch the video.)

May our children dare to dream!
September 25th
Our children's desks have new a new lease on life! We were able to replace the wood with
recycled plastic, which is much more durable and environmentally friendly. These desks will last a long time, serving many children who need to have access to a good education.
It is our hope that the children of the settlement La Bendición in La Democracia, Escuintla,
Guatemala, dream of a better life and achieve their goals through education.
We are very grateful to our sister Sara Williams, who raised all the funds for our children to now have these new desks. We also want to thank all those who made a contribution. Many thanks to:

In the name of our children, we bless you all.
