Violence Spills Over

We received a sobering update from Cobbie and Dessa Palm, our mission coworkers in the Philippines, this week. Their ministry has become more dangerous in the wake of growing violence in the country. On March 4, 2023, the governor of their province was assassinated by armed gunmen as he was at his home granting audiences to people in need of help. This was the latest political assassination in a growing wave.

The churches are working together to stay strong and speak out amid the escalating violence as their faith calls them to do despite the personal risk. They write about the insidious nature of violence and the danger it poses to everyone.
