This coming Sunday is the beginning of the Advent season, so I wanted to share a couple advent ideas while you still have time to plan and implement them.
The first one is specifically for children and comes from Faithward, which is a great website for devotionals and ideas for all ages with a Reformed perspective. This advent devotional is free online (scroll down on the page) or you can buy an illustrated book. It is centered around telling the story of how Jesus fulfills the promises of scripture and brings hope to a broken world. I can imagine my kids enjoying coloring the different ornaments and hanging them on the "Jesse Tree".
For adults, Christianity Today published an advent series that is also free on their website and has some great authors involved. You can find the first day here and links to the other days are on the page as well.
Overall, I hope that this Advent is a season where you are able to spend time reflecting on God's great gift of Jesus and that these devotionals might help you connect with our true source of hope, joy, peace, and love.
